The Cat in the Hat Bobblehead
During the next twenty years he worked for a number of magazines and served in the army during WW2, winning Oscars for his work there on war documentaries. By that time, Theodor Geisel - writing as Dr. Seuss - had already written a number of children's books. His first children's book was "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street" which was published in 1937. Dr. Seuss' publisher was the first person to involve him in creating children's books with a limited vocabulary for young readers. One time he sent Dr. Seuss a list of 400 words and challenged him to come up with a book that used 250 of those words. Dr. Seuss only managed to use 220 from the list, but the resulting book "The Cat in in the Hat" turned out to be an instant success when it was released in 1957. It still remains one of the top ten best selling hardcover children's books of all time. In November 2003, Mike Myers portrays the title character in The Cat in the Hat movie, a film adaptation of this beloved literary classic. Now The Cat In The Hat makes his premiere as a 7" tall bobblehead ! Modeled from the original Dr. Seuss
